As a provider of educational opportunities for students, The Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program does not offer services for professional productions, filmmakers or composers. Student musicians who perform on the scores do so for the educational experience of working in a recording studio environment.

Paul Ferguson Name: Paul Ferguson Role: Instructor, Recording/Mixing/Production Techniques

Lecturer at the The Ian Tomlin School of Music, Napier University. An expert on Digidesign ProTools and its uses in recording and mixing, Paul has responsibility for all aspects of the studio recording and production curriculum at the University. He has worked on a wide range of projects over the years in many genres, and has developed expertise in recording and mixing unusual instruments. He developed the first permanent 5.1 surround sound studio of any education establishment in Scotland. Paul is a consultant on Pro Tools and mac systems to Castlesound one of Scotland’s Premiere recording studios. He has had worked on many occasions with the award winning producing Calum Malcolm (The Blue Nile, Royal Scottish National Orchestra etc.).

Ged Brockie Name: Ged Brockie Role: Instructor, Practical Music Theory for the Contemporary Composer and Creating Orchestral Simulations using the Garritan Personal Orchestra. Web site: http://www.gedbrockie.com

International guitarist and composer of note, Ged Brockie brings with him a wealth of experience in music education. Recorded artist of three releases to date (two with SGQ - Scottish Guitar Quartet), with three new releases due out this year, Ged is also the driving force behind the Edinburgh International Summer Jazz School and Circular Records. Having worked with the RSNO, RSO, BBC as well as a host of international players, Ged has worked at all levels of music education within Scotland from school to University level, from preparing Higher Still music exams to an HND in jazz guitar studies.
