As a provider of educational opportunities for students, The Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program does not offer services for professional productions, filmmakers or composers. Student musicians who perform on the scores do so for the educational experience of working in a recording studio environment.

I went through Hummie's program, then came back to play as a session musician. What an enriching experience it has been to see both sides of the process and work with someone of Hummie's caliber! Highly recommended!

I attended the Pacific Northwest film scoring program in Edinburgh Scotland the summer of 2004 and I absolutely loved it! If I had it to do over again I would definitely go again. Hummie Mann is brilliant to learn under and he makes the material easy to understand. I highly recommend this program for anyone that is interested in collaborating with other film scorers and broadening their horizons!:)

This was a great and necessary experience for me in my goal to pursue a career in film scoring. I learned so much in the span of a year and a half for very little in cost, it was absolutely worth it. The wide range of classes to take and Hummie's very generous time made for an enriching and occasionally terrifying learning environment. Terrifying because I had no idea what I was doing. If I ended up in Seattle again, I wouldn't hesitate to take it again.

I went through the whole course and I can honestly say, as a professional working composer, I use what I learned each week in some way. I'm currently scoring two TV shows, among other things, and the approach to the craft of composing I got from the courses is applied every day. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed previous recording sessions. What a great way to see into how films get made. Highly recommended and will definitely do it again.

I took all of the film scoring classes through this program from fall 2003 through summer 2005 and found the series not only incredibly helpful to my goals but also practical and fun. The opportunities that this program provides for aspiring film composers are invaluable. I would strongly encourage anyone interested in the art of film scoring to look into this program.

Excellent session work experience! Fun and very professional. The student scores are creative, fun and often wonderfully challenging. Hummie makes the orchestra come to life with his professionalism and humor. A very respectful experience.

It was a pleasure working with Hummie Mann recording the film scores. It was a very fun but professionally run session and I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the music.

This is a great experience for someone who hasn't had any exposure as a session musician, a chance to see how film scoring is lined up against the visuals.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I learnt a great deal of valuable infomation about many aspects of film scoring and music theory. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get into film/tv scoring.
