As a provider of educational opportunities for students, The Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program does not offer services for professional productions, filmmakers or composers. Student musicians who perform on the scores do so for the educational experience of working in a recording studio environment.

INTENSIVE SUMMER PROGRAM

The 2008 Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Summer Intensive will be held at the conveniently located Executive Hotel Pacific, located at 400 Spring Street, Seattle, WA 98104, across the street from the Seattle Public Library. We have secured a special group room rate and reserved a block of rooms again for this year's program.

Please note that spaces are limited! You must reserve early to guarantee a hotel reservation. After spaces are gone, you will have to secure your own accommodations in Seattle.

Hotel rooms for Summer Program participants cost $139.00 plus tax per standard King or standard two-bed double occupancy per night—amazing summer (high season) prices in the very heart of downtown Seattle. To obtain our special group rate, you must book your accommodation choice when registering for the Summer Intensive program through our Web site. First come, first served for this great rate, which we are able to offer until May 28th, 2008. Seattle's hotel rooms sell out during the most desirable months of July and August, so if you wish to arrive early or stay later, please register as soon as possible so we can confirm that we are able to get your extended stay secured.

If you are interested in staying overnight, please indicate your check-in and check-out dates when you register for the program so that your room night needs can be secured (July is a very busy month in the spectacular Pacific Northwest. Rooms will sell out). If you share a room with another program participant, your pre-tax cost will be $69.50. Please indicate this preference when you register, and although we cannot guarantee roommate availability, we will make every effort to locate one for you.

For students who elect to stay at the hotel, additional information will be communicated once we receive your requests.

Hotel Information

For more information on the Executive Pacific Hotel itself, please visit ExecutiveHotels.net, but please remember: For our special rate, all rooms must be reserved through the PNWFSP Web site, rather than directly with the hotel. Thank you!

The hotel is a non-smoking hotel.

Parking is available at $21.00 for 24 hour self-park, and $27.50 for hotel valet parking. For students who commute daily, the self-park garage is located off of Madison Street Exit. From the exit, proceed to the light, take a left to 6th Street (the next light). At 6th, take a right, and proceed just a few blocks to Seneca Street and turn left--stay in the left lane (Seneca is one-way heading west). The Olympic Parking Garage is directly across from the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Our hotel is just around the corner on 4th and Spring. If you are driving on 4th Avenue, and coming up Spring (one way heading east), the garage has another entrance, which is just past the Valet/Hotel entrance for the Executive Hotel Pacific. There is an early bird special rate for parking if you arrive by 9:30am.

Airport Transfer Information

For Airport Transfers, the least expensive way from the airport is via Gray Line Downtown Airporter which offers regular service from Seatac to downtown Seattle. The one way fares currently start at $10.25 but are scheduled to increase to $11.00 on March 17, 2008, compared with shuttle vans at $27 one way, town cars from $30 one way and taxis from $35 one way. You can buy your tickets on-line and for additional savings, the round trip fare is $17, also scheduled to increase to $18.00 on March 17, 2008. The website address is: www.graylineseattle.com/airportexpress1.cfm For questions, their phone number is (206)626-6088. For a recorded message of their daily schedule, the phone number is (206)624-5077/(800)426-7532. At the airport, you go to the Baggage Claim level, and proceed out doors "00", just past Baggage Carousel 1. The nearest downtown drop is at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. The website gives the Fairmont's address as 411 University Street, but the good news is the pick-up/drop-off location is on the Seneca Street side of the hotel, just one block south of our hotel, on 4th Avenue. As you walk to the corner of 4th and Spring (from 4th and Seneca), you will walk past the W Hotel and at the end of that block is an SBC. The Executive Hotel Pacific is attached to the SBC. The Airporter provides daily shuttle service from 5:00am-11:00pm (from Seatac beginning at 5:30am).

Tthere is complimentary wifi throughout the hotel.
