As a provider of educational opportunities for students, The Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program does not offer services for professional productions, filmmakers or composers. Student musicians who perform on the scores do so for the educational experience of working in a recording studio environment.

INTENSIVE SUMMER PROGRAM

Introduction

Since the launch of this web site, The Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program has received requests from numerous prospective students who either do not live in the Seattle area or who wish to take the program's training in a more compressed time period.

In order to accommodate these students, we are pleased to offer an annual Summer Intensive Program each year in the Seattle, Washington, USA, area.

There will be a Welcome Reception/Program Registration scheduled for late afternoon on Sunday, July 11th, 2010. Refreshments will be served.

Please note that our special accommodation rates are available for a limited time only, pending room availability.

The regular cycle of program courses includes Film Scoring III: Orchestration and Composing to Timings, Film Scoring IV: Dramatic Composition Lab, and the labor-intensive Film Scoring V: Directed Study in Film Composition, in which students compose and record original scores, using a studio orchestra, to accompany student films. Due to the abbreviated summer format, we regret that we are unable to include these advanced offerings as part of the summer program.
